Kooparc offers modern holiday homes and villas in a unique, small-scale holiday park along the dike, right by the water of the Rhederlaag and close to beautiful natural areas.

Kooparc was born from a simple idea: to create a place where you can truly escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. No crowded parks, no queues or busy facilities. Instead, you will find peace, space and a strong focus on quality.

We created what we ourselves were missing during holidays. A place where you wake up to views over the water, where silence is still truly silent and where you feel the freedom to simply do nothing at all.

For us, it is not just about renting out holiday homes. It is about offering an experience. A stay where you feel at ease from the moment you arrive, where everything is just right and where you can fully recharge.

We believe that luxury is not about excess, but about comfort, space and attention to detail. That is why our homes are thoughtfully designed, with a strong focus on privacy, atmosphere and quality.

Our story

We are Kooparc, a true family business built on entrepreneurship and a shared ambition to create something special. Our roots lie in the trade of construction raw materials for large clients, a world that remains an important part of what we do today. Over time, however, a new ambition grew. We wanted to build something where experience, tranquility and quality take center stage.

That is how this journey began.

More than five years ago, we acquired the office building on Uitmeentsestraat in Giesbeek. The adjacent land, once intended as a parking area for the Rhederlaag, had a camping designation. Where others saw space for campsites, we, Jody as father and Dooby as son, saw the potential for something different. A small-scale park with luxury holiday homes in a unique waterfront location.

We pursued that vision with conviction.

The road towards it was not without challenges. A lengthy permit process and the COVID period, combined with rising construction costs, required flexibility and perseverance. Looking back, it makes the result even more meaningful. Today, we can proudly say that it has become exactly what we had envisioned.

At Kooparc, everything revolves around tranquility, small scale and personal connection. We believe it is important that you know who is behind the park. We are the Koopmans family. Kooparc was developed from our own vision of what makes a stay truly special.

For us, a holiday means spending time together with family and friends, enjoying space, comfort and the calm of nature. That is why we consciously chose quality in every detail. From extra wide boxspring beds measuring 1.80 metres with freshly made linens upon arrival, to spacious and inviting living areas where you can truly unwind.

The living room on the upper floor forms the heart of the home. It is the place where you come together, relax and create lasting memories. From the rooftop terrace, you experience peace and freedom with views over the Rhederlaag and the Veluwezoom National Park.

As animal lovers, it feels natural to welcome your dog as well. Several homes are therefore designed to accommodate pets.

The surroundings invite you to step outside. Walking routes such as the Giese Path run directly alongside the park. For cycling enthusiasts, there is a secure bike storage area with a personal access code. On the other side of the dike, the water and beach are just minutes away. Within moments, you will find yourself standing in the sand.

Everything is in place for a relaxing and carefree stay.

Zo begon dit avontuur.

Ruim vijf jaar geleden kwamen we in het bezit van het kantoorpand aan de Uitmeentsestraat in Giesbeek. Het aangrenzende terrein, ooit bedoeld als parkeerplaats bij recreatiegebied Rhederlaag, had een kampeerbestemming. Waar anderen ruimte zagen voor kampeerplekken, zagen wij: Jody (vader) en Dooby (zoon) – de potentie voor iets anders: een kleinschalig park met luxe recreatiewoningen op een unieke locatie aan het water.

Dat idee hebben we met overtuiging uitgewerkt.

De weg ernaartoe was niet zonder uitdagingen. Een langdurig vergunningsproces en de coronaperiode, met stijgende bouwkosten, vroegen om flexibiliteit en doorzettingsvermogen. Maar juist daardoor voelt het eindresultaat des te waardevoller. Vandaag kunnen we met trots zeggen: het is gelukt en het is precies geworden zoals we het voor ogen hadden.
